I got a desire HD, which was the fastest phone for a period of about 2 months
I had a "normal" Desire for awhile but it broke so I had an old Nokia for like 4 months, I couldn't even talk in it so I thought it was about time to make someone get me a phone .
I got an iPhone when it was the top phone on the market now.
Sincerely regret that decision. Now stuck in a silly contract for another IDK how many years, or I can pay to upgrade phones and get re-locked in.. The joys of phone companies.

I had to buy my DHD sim-free because apple refused to fix my iPhone.. grr ! Still I do like the freedom of android.

My screen cracked 3 days after I got the phone; falling from approximately 30 centimeters in a case.
Apple would fix it, with my phone company "subsidizing some cost" for a mere $200.00; exactly $0.01 more than I paid for the phone brand new.
For a new screen ! That's ridiculous ! You could probably do it yourself for about $40.
I bought the pieces and fixed it for 38.88$ with taxes;
The problem is it voided my warranty; not that the warranty Apple gives you matters .. It covers software issues at most.
I had to have an hour long conversation with the warranty centre at HTC to get them to fix my screen (dead pixels). They said it was void because I put a custom ROM on the phone, even though it says nothing abotu that in the warranty. They would just not believe that it was a hardware problem, and kept talking about how "the pixels are sent from the software" or something like that.

That was a good day
Ahaha, that just reminds me of all the jokes that go around between hardware and software computer geeks
I hate talking to people in call centers trying to deal with anything. Literally, the first 30 minutes of every conversation (after they take you off your hour and a half hold), is the same no matter where you call or what the problem:
Turn it off.
Back on.
Reset it.
Try to use another use of the product. Does that work?
Take the battery out (if it contains one)
...
That is the time when I generally take a hammer to whatever it is and get a new one.
