It sounds easy enough, but I've played a cracked cheaty offline version for a month or two now, so I'm sort of used to just click the diamond pick and then use it :P


Also, was there a betterphp server?

Yep! IP is sv2.xhcp.co.uk unless it's been changed. Jacek must add you to the whitelist though.

I'm guessing there's no multiplayer on the pre-release? :P

There is for vanilla but maybe not for Bukkit.

I can host a 1.8 vanilla server if people are interested ?

Also the IP for the 1.7.3 server should be mc.somethingcraft.co.uk now sv2 will still work but may not at some point in the future.

What are the rules on mc.somethingcraft.co.uk ?

Can I just find myself an open area and start building stuff? :P
Now I'm just wandering about. Not really sure what to do :)

Yeah you can build anywhere at all as long as there is space.

To be made a member you have to be active for ~ 1 week or build somethign cool :D

My minecraft automatically updated to 1.8 beta now. I hope that happened for everyone :)

/E I can't join mc.somethingcraft.co.uk after the update.

Maybe that's not the actual IP. Just an example since he's moving server and might not be sure about what it will be.
Anyways, sv2.xhcp.co.uk works but the server is outdated since they just released a new update :P

The server is still on 1.7.3 so you wont be able to connect. I have to wait for all the mods to update too before I can update it so it might be a few days.

Ah, okay. I guess I'll have to either downgrade or play single player for a while then :)

/E Can anyone tell me how I downgrade? :P I've searched Minecraft.net for a 1.7.3 download, but I can't seem to find one :(

Hmm, you need a old minecraft.jar. Unfortunately I just replaced mine too.

I had the 1.7.3 version but I just reformatted my PC to install windows 8. Should've backed it up :\
