So I got my mic working

But it only works some of the time, I recorded a 27 minute video on classes and objects, to find I only have 4 minutes of audio

Apparently that's a Ubuntu issue with my soundcard.

Not really sure what to do

um, if you write a script for it I could do audio for now? until you get it fixed? Or try to find the driver in windows and then use a emulator or something to install it?

UPDATE: Probably no video this week either.

A UPS man is coming tomorrow to pick up the wrong headset they sent me. So in another bloody ages I will have my nice USB one back that will hopefully actually work. Also apparently I will get a free flash drive because of the error, so that's good and I don't have about 30 of those lying around already.

I just tried twice to record something with this headset and both times the mic cut out after about 40 seconds. So I gave up.
