I have a brilliant idea!
The Aether II mod for Minecraft is about to be released ( or was just released, I'm not sure ) and I heard that it will have Multiplayer enabled so I had the idea of maybe trying to get you guys in on it.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in playing this mod with a total Minecraft nOOb!

Playing through the entire mod is a real adventure taking hundreds of hours, so I'm not expecting us to finish it

My life just got super hectic. The next two weeks at least.

Trying to get my driving license, so I'll be doing that 12 hours a day 5 days a week for two weeks, as well as moving apartments the 29th & 30th of this month.

I'll do my best to get some of this stuff out of the way until the next weekend

Well, apparently the version of the Aether that has been released does not have all of the fun stuff in it yet, so I'm waiting for the full release before I do this.

It would be cool if Jacek Himself joined us too, but he's busy I guess.

I guess so... I haven't been able to connect.

I'm playing public servers at the moment. There are a bunch of free ones with thousands of slots on them, like Armadacraft.

I'm bumping this in hopes it can become the "Main" Minecraft thread here. I'll reformat it a bit later.

I don't even know if anyone here still plays any Minecraft, what with people having busy lives and tight schedules, but I'm usually on a few hours a month playing with my little 8 year old brother. We've got a server up but he's kinda bored with just the two of us on it so he wants a bigger one with room for more players.

I'm currently in the process of re-purposing one of my old rackservers for that now, and thought maybe we could make an official BetterPHP server, where we can try different fun things. It would of course have to be "family-friendly" seeing as my little brother and his friends will be playing on it.

I'm also thinking about setting up a few virtual environments and play around with different Minecraft server software and mods and whatnot.

Would anyone be interested in this, or is Minecraft dead?

Before too many people joined it was so fun, there was a great little community and nobody built anything too gigantic - kind of the small town where everyone knows each other vs the big city sort of thing

Now I only play vanilla with a friend occasionally. I could do a bit of hosting if people are interested. Maybe I could get back into server modding and make a thing so you have to log in with a forum account
