I would normally just google a question like this, but I have no clue how to phrase it for google because I don't know the technical terms, so I'm asking here!
So basically a few times when trying to get to this forum (as well as a few others), I've mistyped the URL. So then it recommends that later on when typing the URL again later on. I figured that the problem would be removed when I clear my history (which I do practically every time I turn off the computer), but after a month I still have the typo in my history (as well as others). Basically what I mean is this:
I also have a one failure where I once typed "baord" instead of "board". Not sure why that isn't there…. The other links were me just having not cleared my history since Sunday night. But apart from that I have a variety of URLs that are autosuggested even after clearing (an extra "=" after the .com, phpacademey.org, etc.). I assume they stay when the others don't because those are URLs I typed and not ones I've followed, but is there any way to get rid of these suggestions?
And for future reference, how would I go about searching for this on Google?
Random Question: fix URLs in my browser's history?
Re: Random Question: fix URLs in my browser's history?
I think the only way is to just clear your history all together.
Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
Re: Random Question: fix URLs in my browser's history?
oh yeah, i suppose i should've specified that. Whenever I clear, i do the command+shift+delete method, and select everything except "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" & "Clear saved passwords". though i did the former after i got baord into the mix.

For FireFox you can hover over it and hit the delete key.

On second thought, it actually doesn't… it seems to show up less though.

I think there can be multiple entries for the same URL so you might just need to get them all.JelvinJS7 wrote:On second thought, it actually doesn't… it seems to show up less though.
