If he is comparing the databases, i assume he will be coding a way to port everything over (all posts, users etc)
So i assume not

Thank you.wignall6 wrote:Hopefully we won't have to re-register but if he can't port it we will have to.
The name is great!
And the name, for those that don't know derives from a (partially abandoned?) project of Jaceks which is XHCP which is a software similar to cPanel, but his own and was going to be used for his server company thingy

Re: xhcBB
Your accounts will be ported, I will be creating the "import phpbb database" as part of the install process. The only problem may be passwords, so you may all get an email saying you need to password reset. I don't see any problems with anything else.
XHCP is not abandoned at all ! It just needs finishing. It has changed a bit though, its now just something like cPanel that you can install.
Yes, although you get it wrong just nowbowersbros wrote:And i think i deserve an honorable mention, since i came up with the name for you ;D

Well in fairness, it was like a year ago when you last coded anything for it?jacek wrote:Your accounts will be ported, I will be creating the "import phpbb database" as part of the install process. Re: xhcBB
A little unfortunately.
the installer is written in C, and it has to do some fairly complex system modifications.
and I don't know C that well.

Re: xhcBB
It's the Linux system that is the problem, I just need some time to work it out
I would feel like I cheated if I had help
