mysql DB question

hy guys, got one question for you, take for example apayd host you have 10 mysql DB's!
can i make a DB and give acses to a friend of mines to it, but just to that one?
like a normal ftp account?
i can make 20 DB and would like to help out with his project with 2 DB's and 2 ftp accounts.

P.S: i put this in general chat, becouse, it will by helful for others. :)

And I moved it to SQL Help because that's where it belongs ;)

To answer the question. You can create a user for your friend and only allow that user to use a certain database, does the host allow you to create mysql users ?

yes, but how can i give him full acsess to only his DB, and not to my staff?

if you login as your main user to phpmyadmin, can you use the permissions tab on the main page ?

Looks like you cannot access and therefore alter permissions.

Oftentimes users can be created from your control panel aswel as assign permissions. However, I'm not sure if those users are allowed to use phpmyadmin.
