Out of curiosity what plugins do you have running on your servers?
I just set up a server for some close friends and was wondering what I should add.

A selection of each - so some security ones, some which increase the enjoyability (such as the shopping / trading plugins)

It is
If you breaka block within a tile of the map that tile is regenerated.
To render the entire thing took about 4 hours the first time, you may have noticed the forum was a bit slow a few weeks ago

I was more thinking that you could see players walking around and building stuff in real time

Ah, it's not quite that fast at updating. You can see them moving thouhg, possitions updated once every 2 seconds.

It doesn't render players as part of the image, they are rendered on top using some clever coordinates thing.
