700MHz ARM11
128MB of SDRAM
OpenGL ES 2.0
1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode
Composite and HDMI video output
USB 2.0
SD/MMC/SDIO memory card slot
General-purpose I/O
Open software (Ubuntu, Iceweasel, KOffice, Python)

Quite impressive considering the size !

Could be fun to play around with, for such a low amount its worth a try right ;)

Yeah, and they are hoping to start rolling these out within 12 months. I'll defo buy one and try it out. Push it a bit.

I don't think they will be a success tho, because they are so small and they are planning on giving these to kids, they will break after 2 days.

Well I guess the finished one will have a case

Maybe I will finally get to use the phrase "I can't find my computer", that will be nice.

Cases doesn't matter much with curious kids. I know from experience. We got Laptops in school a while back. Took 2 weeks before the first one broke. I think 50% of all the kids broke their laptop beyond repair at least once.

Maybe one of these could be the price in an upcoming competition? :)

Yeah, and they will probably get cheaper when they go into mass-production and technology evolves.

I've used that once, I actually lost my laptop. Found it under the bed a week later when I was cleaning. Then I sold it

With those specs too it could comfortably run a desktop environment.

I mean you could actually use it !

Looks very awesome :)

That doesn't mean I'll buy one though. I can use that money a lot better.
