There are no rules ?

Just to draw your attention to the fact that there is no "forum rules" type post...

This does not mean no rules... it means you have to guess what the rules are until I write them.

Use common sense.

Copy other forum rules? they're usually similar / identical :D

So basically, people with limited common sense can do whatever the hell they like.

Sounds fun enough :)

I mean my common sense :?

I'll get to that at some point.

Probably when there are more than 8 members

I'm sure most people who commonly use forums know the basic rules most forums have. Until there is a bigger member base I don't see any point in rules.

Exactly, that's what I really mean by common sense ;)

People only read them if they get told they broke a rule anyway.

Rules are like those huge ToS pages many web sites have. Nobody reads them, but it can hurt if you break any of them.

So having them is always good, even if they're not going to be read, because then you can prove they were wrong.

But again, for the moment... /care

All forums just need 3 rules basicly.
1) Don't post pictures of your ( or anyone elses ) penis and/or vagina.
2) Don't spam(too much, a little bit is fine since it helps search engines find us).
3) Don't be racist or stupid.

Having 20 pages of rules makes no sense when you can cover pretty much everything in 3 lines.

It actually does, for reasons I mentioned in my previous post.

Even if they aren't read, you'll generally still want to have a comprehensive set of rules to fall back on if you warn someone and they disagree because 'it was not in the rules'.

New feature for the new forum: The ability to " Like " posts...

Also; if you're gonna ban people, you might want to set up a rule against multiple accounts, maybe even IP ban :)

Hm... Not a very well thought out solution. But it just might work.
