Google Maps API

I would like to see a tutorial for Google maps using their API. I would like to list locations or addresses and when clicked, they open up either a pop up window or another page with the Google map. I realize I could just make links, but if the map information could be stored in a database then I could add and remove locations easily. This would look like the YouTube output where the titles are listed and when clicked a new page opens with the YouTube video.
