I like to know if there is any of you that know a great php 5.+ book that I can start with.

The book should be able to explain php so I under stand why and when to use what.

All are welcome to let me know what I should read.

Erm... why have a book when the internet explains it for free? Suppose W3schools is like a book. Go through chapter by chapter.

Nice I will check out w3school. but a book I can bring with me to work and other places where I can have time to ready some.

I will check out the website but still book recommendations are most welcome.

I've used "spring into php" during my study and it was quite good. However, keep in mind that the real learnign happens when you put your knowledge in practice. A book can only get you so far!
