Apparently spammers will try literally anything to get you open their dam zip files !

You live in the UK right? Even more fail then since it says "New York" lol XD

One thing I don't understand about spammers: why do they send six messages at once to the same address? If I would have gotten one message like that I might have thought: that would make sense, but I got this exact message 6 times in one day on the same e-mail address... what do they think, if he gets six of them, he is more likely to believe it?!

I always figured that was poor mailing software, like your address got on the list 6 times.

I have a job far away....

I sometimes get up at 4:00 am if I have to work early. And I have a job only 10 minutes from where I live by bike

So if I'm outside at 4:30 am, I suppose people will also be driving 3 hours later



On the topic of spammers, yeah, they often are pretty dumb. The only ones that I have come across that are actually somewhat smart are those that do not have a subject, surprisingly, and then have a message about some school work they did for me that I might find useful.

Of course, sending those message during the summer holidays doesn't help, and sending them in English to a Dutch person also doesn't help :p

Maybe the best spam would be a completely blank message with no subject and just the attachment called something like "file.zip". People would be too curious not to open it !

Im curious, what damage can a zip file do anyway? Because wouldn't you need to actually open the virus.exe file inside or whatever also.. So downloading a .zip should be safe no?

I think there are bugs in the windows default unzip thing that can be exploited.

I got something very similar the other day, the flaw:
1) I live in the UK
2) I am 15!

also I'm usually up by 4:30 / 5 am so it's not unreasonable that people would be driving at 7:25

That is a very suitable time to get up! Although I only get up that early is because I have a small webdesign business with a friend and at day we are at school and I hate working after doing homework etc. so do it in the morning
