Benchmarking

You must run 32 bit of each software. Even if your OS is 64-bit. This is because you have to purchase 64-bit version, and so that the tests are consistent.

I had an idea that we should all benchmark all and any PCs that we own.

Here are the tools I am using to Benchmark so that we get as reliable results as possible:

http://www.primatelabs.ca/geekbench/
http://www.maxon.net/ -- Then go to Cinebench in downloads

Here are my results:

MBP Feb '11 13" ->

http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/449279

http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/449290 -- hard reboot

Cinebench:
OpenGL -> 11.43fps
CPU -> 2.62pts

-- Retesting after hard reboot, and no applications running.

Here's my current play-around-system.
http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/449602
Cinebench:
OpenGL: 9.16 fps
Cpu: 2.20 pts

I just use this PC to play around with things I find interesting but not really useful.

I'll do some benchmarks on my other PC once it's put back together :) Missing one graphics card and a power unit atm.
