$13.80 to spare. What do?

So. I just got $13.80 sent to my paypal, and I have no idea what to do with them.
I'm contemplating buying a Minecraft account, just to check whats up with that game... It's got a mad hype, so it has to be good (?).
But then I would need to add another $10 to my paypal.
If I'm not buying a Minecraft account, I might just as well donate it to something... So if anyone thinks they need a donation or know of someone who's trying to fund a project, please let me know.
Otherwise I'll just donate it to Jacek for his great efforts on XHBB
I already donated like 30 GBP to phpacademy so I wont send Alex any more money

It's 100% worth it ! you can get a demo from here
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/04/19/downl ... craft-demo although it's a slightly older version.

No need for that
It doesn't cost me anything so it shouldn't cost you anything either

But what if I WANT to donate?.. Would you reject the money?

Because I'm... me?
Of course you could also just save it. If you don't know what to do with your money, just put it on your bank account and save it up!

I could do that. But I'd probably just waste it on cigarettes and beer this weekend. ( it was my brothers 20th birthday yesterday, so he's throwing a giant party this weekend ).

It would be a waste on the cigarettes, but spending some money on a good drink every now and then never hurts (in my view anyway)
Though 'every now and then' means 'almost every weekend' for me

I would. I don't want to make any money from any of this stuff, even if I did it would not be from people just giving me it (does that not seem an odd business plan to anybody else ?).

Pro Tip: Don't use the quote button. click reply, scroll down, highlight the bit you actually want to quote, then click quote next to that.

I don't understand why you don't want to make any money from this at all... I can understand why you wouldn't want to accept direct donations, but making some money from it never hurts, right?

I know. Hmm, i guess he just wants to do it for fun and not for profit.
If you do it for fun, you have no motives to do it other than fun, meaning you are more likely to bring out good quality tutorials.
if you do it for profit, you will probably drag out the videos (sicne you will end up with more overall views) and therefore you will be less useful to teaching people.
Thats how i believe his reconing is.
Although, i still think he should get partnership and paid

It's just not what I am trying to do
As long as the hosting bill is covered I am happy

Exactly ! If I was constantly thinking about how I could get more views / subscribers / hits it would be very obvious in the content. Like most of the other channels.
Put is this way, if I ever do this more seriously it will not be based on advertising money but on selling things or services.

Well, consider this donation a pre-payment for the help you're gonna give me setting up a couple of servers later on
I''d call that a service!
Or, I just buy more of your code-canyon scripts. I'm still trying to cope with the awesomeness of your " advanced file server ".
I've been using it for quite some time now

That, you can do. At least you get something for the money.

Now you're just being stubborn

Yes, but I think its unfair to pay lets say $8 for a script and you get like, 30% of that?... I'd rather just pay you $8 directly and you email me the script

Ehm.. Yes?.. It's basically plug and play... How can anyone not get it to work? :S
