What is the coolest thing you've built?
I was wondering who has built some cool things on this forum.
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?

So in PHP I guess... good, 'cause I freakin' suck at lego........unemployment wrote:Maybe I should have said coolest thing you've ever coded.EcazS wrote:In PHP or Lego?
I haven't done many extreme things...
But coolest thing would probably be my "banner site".
The things I'm most proud of would be my CMS and the banner site

I just finish (pretty much finished at least) building an ajax news feed with ajax pagination. That's probably the coolest thing I've built.

jQuery? That's laaame!jacek wrote:But does it have a html5 tag cloud jquery dynamic database ?
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
I was not being serious I was just listing buzz words. Like when you see a "HTML5 contact form" that's just a contact form, nothing about html5 makes it special.unemployment wrote:Are you referring to this garbage? http://www.goat1000.com/tagcanvas.php

I wonder how many companies have actually used this to come up with reason to charge clients more http://www.emptybottle.org/bullshit/index.php
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
You forgot at least SOAP and REST, but possibly more buzzwords...jacek wrote:But does it have a html5 tag cloud jquery dynamic database ?
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
OOP is another one I forgot, and if we were a few years back dynamic
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
The coolest thing I have built must be a web 2.0 html5 ajax soap powered rss reader api class styled with css3.
Please check out my CodeCanyon items.
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
Did you use the geolocation, local storage, sqlite and drag and drop apis for that? Or perhaps Ruby on rails? Or NoSQL?
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
Ruby on Rails actually. And let's not forget Sass, Modernizr, jQuery, my own MVC framework. Maybe incorporating geolocation in conjunction with local storage and maybe canvas isn't such a bad idea!

Sounds like something you could sell for millions of $$$..Tino wrote:Ruby on Rails actually. And let's not forget Sass, Modernizr, jQuery, my own MVC framework. Maybe incorporating geolocation in conjunction with local storage and maybe canvas isn't such a bad idea!
Re: What is the coolest thing you've built?
My next project is to build a 6 dimensional array with integrated tagclouds that allows for user-contributed ad delivery and disintermediate networking that can then later harness authentic network effects with a built in aggregated AJAX-enabled feed that can create standard-compliant integrated data-driven mashups and this will be used to reinvent citizen-media ecologies.
Yep...
