OVH just updated their server packages in their budget division. http://www.kimsufi.co.uk/ks/

The cheap-o one (this site uses one at the moment) is now £1 less and there is a new £43.19 a month (incl VAT) with massive RAM and a i5 CPU.

... hoping to upgrade to one of those at some point over the holiday if it looks like it will be affordable.

With so much spare server I could offer some cool services, free hosting, game servers etc too That could be fun right

I have to pay the setup fee But I would pay for a year so it's free.

They have been planning to make setup fee £0 for existing members for about 3 years

Premium item sales cover that amount at the moment (just), and I am planning on making a load of new things in the stupidly long holiday I get. So it looks like it will be affordable.

Also, I just ordered. It might take up to one week to set everything up according to the confirmation email

did you get a dedicated?

It normally takes aroudn 30 minutes maximum (installing OS etc)

And you used to be able to watch the installation process with status updates online (dont know if you can anymore)
