Random Question: fix URLs in my browser's history?

I would normally just google a question like this, but I have no clue how to phrase it for google because I don't know the technical terms, so I'm asking here!
So basically a few times when trying to get to this forum (as well as a few others), I've mistyped the URL. So then it recommends that later on when typing the URL again later on. I figured that the problem would be removed when I clear my history (which I do practically every time I turn off the computer), but after a month I still have the typo in my history (as well as others). Basically what I mean is this: I also have a one failure where I once typed "baord" instead of "board". Not sure why that isn't there…. The other links were me just having not cleared my history since Sunday night. But apart from that I have a variety of URLs that are autosuggested even after clearing (an extra "=" after the .com, phpacademey.org, etc.). I assume they stay when the others don't because those are URLs I typed and not ones I've followed, but is there any way to get rid of these suggestions?
And for future reference, how would I go about searching for this on Google?
