holy crap that's a lot of spam. The first wave was only like 5 posts and that's manageable, but this is not good
edit;
by the way, is anyone able to contact Jacek?

is there an update for phpbb, since for a wave that large, it must be a fault or flaw in the software that has been found.

Well there is nothing that prevents mass posting, most bots probably post less in the hope of not being detected.

I think these might have been an actual person. I think I saw "ctrl+v" somewhere in a post. Could also be a person accidentally putting that in the instructions though, or my tired eyes and silly brain playing tricks.

Ugh, when will spammers realise that people will possibly be interested in your posts, and read them if you make them related to the topic.
Eg, if your selling viagra, try a pharmecutical or health care forum, not a php one.

I have a feeling it's a tough job being a moderator on a pharmaceutical related forum...

Very true.

It's about spreading links for google to index more than advertising directly. The list of words are the keywords they want to get associated with the links.
The IPs and usernames of the bot that posted it is now listed on the stopforumspawm.com system quite a lot of times. I guess it was new one and we were a bit unlucky

The stopforumspam thing has worked wonders for quite some time now. It surprised me when I woke up to this madness.

Could be worth looking into?
