A forum I used to be on a while back ( before they banned me ! ) had a Swedish subforum. We had a thread with nearly 1million posts in it before the mods split it into 15 smaller ones. Took 3 minutes for me to load the topic

But yes, 15k pages is a lot of randomness !

I do believe the admin changed that afterwards. He didn't notice that problem before since he had a 60 posts = automatic lock on all the " Main Forums "...
