I agree with you on most parts there. We really just differ in our actual beliefs. I'm a real atheist, you're a deist-something-naturist. Either way, great post!

It's true about Christians and their hypocritical thoughts on Gods. "You're evil as you are atheist", "well do you believe in mythical Gods?", "Of course not.", "You are then an atheist as well!"

How about

Random guy: "Why don't you believe in God?"
Me: "Why do you?"
"Because the Bible says so."
"So God exists, huh?"
"Yes."
"Prove it."
"No. Just believe it."
"Why should I believe it?"
"Because the Bible says so."

Yes, I've actually had a 'discussion' like this once...

I believe in god cuz He makes more sense to Creation and Evolution than science does. At least in my mind.

Well the concept of a god just existing and creating the universe makes more sense to me than this random ball of nothing exploding into the universe

That is one of many mysteries. One can only guess since no one was there to actually witness the explosion.

Here's my 'theory'.

I believe (not in a religious way) in cause and effect. Everything has not only a cause, but also an effect. However, there's one exception to this 'rule'. In space, you have things called voids. These are empty spaces with... nothing. Absolutely nothing. This means they do not have a cause. However, these things do produce something, meaning they do have an effect. This could be how this 'random ball of nothing' exploded and explains where it came from.

Again, it's just a theory, and one of many I've heard, but this one actually makes good sense to me.

So you reject everything science has found out in favour of a story. That's very logical I can say the same thing... It makes more sense that the universe has developed over billions of years to what it is today from a single starting point than that it was created by something which has existed forever.

We don't know, but the fact that we do not know is not a flaw in the argument against it being God that created everything.

Saying that God created the universe is just replacing one unknown with another and living in ignorance happily believing something which there is no evidence for.

It's widely accepted that the theory of Evolution is basically correct, there is masses of evidence for it. Rejecting all of this on the basis of a single book that has no factual relevance makes no sense to me !

I think that it is much more logical to believe the world has come to exist in the manner it does today over years, it has "evolved", progressed, developed; however you want to say it.

I think that one of the best proofs against creationism is this simple statement:
If a creator is perfect, why is the product that they create not perfect as well?

If you reply with free will I may just have to *facepalm*. The world, and the human are both chemically, biologically and physically far from optimized; why is it that our respiratory, and digestive systems share the same tubes resulting in suffocations? Us being bipedal makes us even less optimized as creatures, that is the reason for a terribly painful childbirth. All sorts of minor blemishes suggest that evolution is a much more likely cause than a divine creator.
