If I wasn't using a multi-user set up it could be 15000 + requests per second, which would be an improvement of ~ 105 times

I left class with my laptop on the login screen and when I came back my friend said "What's your password? We've tried a bunch of different stuff and what the he!! is with your password hint? Makes no sense"
It would be the first thins I would try

Haha, that's insane. Do you really need all that power?

Same here
Second thing I try is qwerty, then password or drowssap

No
It's cool though
It's an extra £10 a month compared to a server nowhere near as good though so it seemed worth it.
Also I will never have to move servers again

Yes. It does seem like £10 more for this power boost is worth it
You will have pretty much unlimited space to grow now. Lets just hope you fly past both Phpacademy and TheNewBoston

I don't really notice any speed difference. It was fast and still is, with occasionally a slower request.

The sites are not moved yet, only one for testing.
I decided it's taking too long already so I'm taking the opportunity to make some big setup changes

This is still happening !
I just took the opportunity of not having to worry about uptime to reorganise my hosting database. Almost done now

UPDATE: Moving the files now, there is unlikely to be any downtime, but I will put up a message on the current server once the DNS information is updated so you will see that until the DNS stuff propagates fully. I will copy the database over after that too, so no need to worry about things going missing.
Should be done by tomorrow, unless I get tired

I thought it was still down until 10 seconds ago. I was trying to access betterphp.co.uk/board/index.php and it gave me a 404 error.
Nice to have it up and running again
/Edit
Wait.. Now I'm confused.
5 minutes ago this url : betterphp.co.uk/board/index.php gave me an 404 error and this url worked: betterphp.co.uk/board
Now this url gives me a 404 error: betterphp.co.uk/board
and this one works: betterphp.co.uk/board/index.php

Did the 404 page look the same for both links ?
Were you redirected to index.html ?
Maybe you have one slow DNS server and one fast one

Yes, they looked identical. Some ubuntu version number description and a regular 404 error.

Well that is on the new server then.
ERM ! I have no idea what would cause that. I will do some digging in the log files and let you know if I find anything.
Can you let me know if it happens again, the time would be useful too

Yes, sure. It's been working fine after I cleared my cache, but I'll let you know if it happens again
