Got minecraft :O

Never intended to. But my friend got it recently, and came over today. I guess he had an undying urge to show me it, and mincraftforfree.net wasn't working (and now I have Firefox also ). He wanted to show me the full version, and I guess since I have Mac It wouldn't work.

So we ended up just downloading a cracked version of it hehe. And now I have it.
Seems interesting enough to keep. But that's all we really did: him showing me. So it got boring.

Anyway, I hope I can play online with it. That'd be sweet. I also now intend to check out jacek's videos about minecraft (his other channel), as well as the java tutorials.

are you sure it isn't possible? cuz when i click multiplayer in the main menu, i get this screen.

Minecraft also validates the account when attempting to join a MP server. You're account isn't valid so I doubt you'll be able to play on non-cracked servers

Is that the literal URL, or is the Address mc.{something}craft.co.uk ?

Does the free legal version allow multiplayer. If so, could I just have both?

The free version does not allow multiplayer.
I believe that is the literal "URL" to the server.
Version 1.0.0 seems a litte bit old. Last time I played it was at 1.9.4

Erm. Odd.

Can you log in again and tell me your x, y, z ?

I managed to find out...by breaking the metal door but then I suffocated in sand...

Spawn point is correct, I guess you have been on the server before but someone built where you were.

Unfortunate.

You should be able to use the command

/mv tp public

to get out.

In news: didn't play like at all for a few weeks, then my friend got it, and now were both addicted to it! Since his is cracked also, we can play online.
We have also derived the term "crap shack" as a general term for a simple shelter; derived from one of jacek's videos.
When a few of our ither friend's get it, we're gonna have a war. Wheee!

I have also set up a server. Supposedly people with a full account can play on cracked servers. This true? (which also gives me more tutorial watching checking server and I know all the have tutorials I can learn [cant do the TNT blocker without a server. ] xD)

Thought I'd share this mini-update.

But anyone can connect to the server with any username they chose so you will have problems with giving certain groups certain permissions only.

Well id only give the address to people i know, so no worries. And the people I know aren't sneaky enough to change their username to do something
