Problem of user root in myPhpAdmin

Hi,

Could some1 explain the purpose of having 127.0.0.1 and localhost in the Host column of mysql.user table?

Also, if i want to add another user how can i specify it 127.0.0.1 or localhost?

You can remove the 127.0.0.1 one and still be able to connect, not really sure why both are in there

When you add a user there is a Host option, in the drop down you can select local only.
