Server Locations
In the next year the place where my server is currently located is being sold, as well as my "backup" location. I was wondering if there was any company/service that would just really provide as a giant server closet. Is there such a thing? And I mean a physical place to store my server, not a website hosting service.
Re: Server Locations
When you say "store my server", are you trying to imply that you have your own server built already?
Because it would just be easier to look for a dedicated host like http://www.singlehop.com/ .

Re: Server Locations
I have a already assembled server and everything. Its been running forever, but I need somewhere else to run the server from.
Re: Server Locations
That's quite a challenge...
You may have to just self-host or put it in a warehouse.

Re: Server Locations
I believe it's known as colocation https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=colocation

Re: Server Locations
I think I might just buy a VPS. Know any good ones?
Re: Server Locations
I've always used x10VPS (link) because it's connected to my standard shared hosting.
They are a good company, I've never had any noticeable downtime.
Plus there support team fixes things quite quickly

Re: Server Locations
I just recently switched over to Amazon EC2. They have a free VPS tier that offers more than what you would normally pay for a $15/month VPS
