Re: jacek
I've heard good things about that but I'd really like to avoid paying for anything since I get no income from this really. http://vanillaforums.org/ looks pretty good but I don't think it's super well used. Might just be a case of setting a few up locally and having a play. There is also the headac...

Re: post without reloading
First things first. If you found this while searching, and you maybe want a vote/rating system on your website using PHP, you can have a look at the simple tutorial here: http://betterphp.co.uk/playlist.html?pid=PLFBA3AFF478B77F39 ------- I'm gonna write this assuming you have no knowledge of Javas...

Re: Code for tutorial videos.
The admin of this forum is pretty clear when it comes to just giving away code, he doesn't want it to happen. However, there are a lot of people who just post all of their code anyway, just search the forums. Make sure you go through the topic to make sure the code is in working order. You really sh...

[Ubuntu] Problems with mail (Postfix/Dovecot)
I've recently decided that I want to setup a mail server myself, oh how difficult that has proven to be so far. I'm not expecting a reply, because Jacek is the Ubuntu-pro. I may as well try. I followed this tutorial: https://www.exratione.com/2012/05/a-mailserver-on-ubuntu-1204-postfix-dovecot-mysql...

I edited your email, probably not a good idea to post uncensored emails on a site riddled with spambots

It works fine for me, you may need to contact YouTube (right-click on the video -> report playback issue)

Re: Post voting system
When voting, save the users IP address along with the voting data. When the user clicks the voting button, check the users current IP with all saved IP addresses. If there is a match, don't allow the vote. I'm sorry I can't provide you with any code, but it should be pretty basic stuff - even if you...

Re: I really need some help! Showing player count + more MC
There's actually a tutorial for this already.
I'm not too sure how up-to-date this is, but it's worth a shot.

I can't find any tutorials, and I certainly don't want to get into a project as large as a media center. Try "XBMC" ( link ) Their description: "XBMC is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub that can be installed on Linux, OSX, Windows...

Use OpenID to manage single sign-on.
I'm not too sure how to about doing this, but I think this will get you on the right track (maybe).

Re: MITM attack
I haven't really read the replies, so I apologize if this is off-topic. If you are using SSL (https://) on your site, then the content between the two computers is secure. If the information is somehow intercepted, it would take 2,000,000,000,000,000,000 (2 followed by 18 zero's) years to decrypt ( ...

Re: Sending form data from one server to another
I should start by saying that it's a good idea that the school doesn't allow PHP on their network (at least, that class). I would have just used putty to interact with my server, making files and editing them on the actual server and then viewing it on the web because it's much easier to use, I don'...
