Re: not being redirected to missing.html

In your site root, you should have a '.htaccess' file. Can you post the content of that as well, as that could also be a problem.

Re: Ordered an Arduino. Robot building time!

Cool,
I recently also bought a Arduino Uno a few months ago. I have yet to get started making stuff due to being incredibly busy but I look forward to getting started. Where did you get the 'chassis' thing? It looks quite cool, and I would like to get one for myself.

Have fun

MySQL Class

This is a simple class for interacting with a MySQL database. Your connection details can either be stored as constants (default) or as strings in the class itself. Each method has info about what it does and any arguments passed to it, however if you would like more info, ask and I will try and hel...

I'm back

Hi guys I've been very busy for the last few months due to school work and exams, 'proper' work and general life so have not been very active. I now have more time despite a new term beginning soon :( , so can spend more time answering peoples question's and introduce myself to the people who have j...

Re: I want to become a professional web programmer.

It really depends on what you want to do... If you want to work freelance, you will need to know at least one server-side language (such as PHP or .NET) and one browser-side language (Javascript) along with HTML and CSS However, if you want to work for a studio, it depends on what subsection you wan...

Re: Custom Computer Build

In regards to overcloxking, I am extremly comfortable with it as I have overclocked friends machines before many times. I have in fact, planned (loads of) builds before, however I have never physically put the parts together to make a machine before which is why I decided it would be best to get som...

Re: Custom Computer Build

Sound Card: I am undecided - do you have any suggestions? Depends if you are one of those audio people, the built in one is always good enough if you just want to hear it making sounds. I think I'll leave if for now - I can always add one later if I feel its necessary. Optical Drive: I am undecided...

Power supply? Setup looks good. Actually ya, a good solid power supply is very important one with plenty of power Oops sorry - I had to retype this post due to my computer crashing the 1st time (must be an omen) So I must have forgotten it the second time - I am currently thinking of the Hale90 pow...

Custom Computer Build

Having just finished my GCSE's I now have time to build and (earn money for) a new computer. I have only ever had laptops before so everthing (except my mouse) will have to be new. I will primarily be using it for gaming, programming and media work (Prmeiere Pro and After Effects primarilly) This is...

Re: What to learn next...

As Jacek suggests I would have a look at some desktop programming - maybe have a look at Java or if you want to make a game try XNA - both are nice languages although I personally prefer Java greatly despite it being much more complex (in my opinion)

Re: Holy Crap We Are a Year Old ?!

I'm 100% serious too. In class I'm like 40 pages behind everyone and I think it's so hard and it's obvious that I'm going to fail on the exam and then when the exam comes I'm like, "this is too easy, this can't be right. If I think this is easy I'm obviously not doing it right". And then ...

Re: Admin Centre

Good idea!

I've only just started using GitHub and am finding it really useful - I don't work as a team (or at least not very often) but just the ability to access my work from multiple computers is extremely helpful.
