If he is comparing the databases, i assume he will be coding a way to port everything over (all posts, users etc)

So i assume not :)

Hopefully we won't have to re-register but if he can't port it we will have to.

The name is great! :)

Thank you.

And the name, for those that don't know derives from a (partially abandoned?) project of Jaceks which is XHCP which is a software similar to cPanel, but his own and was going to be used for his server company thingy :P

Your accounts will be ported, I will be creating the "import phpbb database" as part of the install process. The only problem may be passwords, so you may all get an email saying you need to password reset. I don't see any problems with anything else.

Yes, although you get it wrong just now

XHCP is not abandoned at all ! It just needs finishing. It has changed a bit though, its now just something like cPanel that you can install.

Well in fairness, it was like a year ago when you last coded anything for it? :P

A little unfortunately.

the installer is written in C, and it has to do some fairly complex system modifications.

and I don't know C that well.

It's the Linux system that is the problem, I just need some time to work it out :)

I would feel like I cheated if I had help
